Abstract
This paper devised a broadband transmitter for 5G mm-Wave channel emulator. The scheme of this design was to generate wideband direct modulation transmitter with local oscillator (LO) cancellation loop. The LO of wideband transmitter was produced by phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer combining digital sampling double-loop switching technology with low phase noise. The simulation and measurement were completed. The specifications of transmitter such as LO suppression, error vector magnitude (EVM) were tested. The results demonstrated that the simulation agrees well with design expectations, and this design would be applied in 5G mm-Wave channel emulator.
