Abstract
A miniaturized ultra wideband Vivaldi antenna with impedance bandwidth over 15.0:1 is introduced in this paper. The current path is changed by loading gaps on the radiation patch which can reduce this antenna size. Parasitic patchs and resistors are loaded on the antenna which can continue to expand the frequency band to the lower frequency. And the antenna is fed with balun structure. The physical size of the antenna is 70 mmx 83 mmx 0.508 mm The VSWR is less than 2.5:1 in 1.28-20.0 GHz, and the antenna achieves a stable gain which up to 11 dBi in the working frequency band.
