Research on the impact of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Base on the technology innovation based on the PSM-DID model

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Base (EIDB) is an important measure to implement national innovation-driven development strategy in the context of high-quality development. Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2013 to 2019, this paper uses Stata 16.0 tool, propensity score matching (PSM) methods and difference-in-differences (DID) model to put forward the empirical analysis on the relationship between the EIDB and the enterprise technology innovation. The results show that: 1) The EIDB effectively promotes the enterprise technology innovation. 2) Further distinguishing the types of innovation found that the overall innovation structure of enterprises shifts to low-quality innovation one year after the EIDB was established. According to the conclusions, some relevant enlightenment are given.
