摘要
Innovations in biotechnology have contributed immensely in the age of growing phyto-power systems. This has fueled the use of integrated plant biotechnology and ecotechnology to develop oxygenated biofuels by using a phyto base as a primary source for the production of biofuels. Furthermore, it has also contributed to the reduction of power output, with greater energy efficiency of these fuels. While various research studies have been conducted to study physicochemical and toxicological characters of these, along with studying the impact of oxygen levels on plant productivity. It has led to developing eco-friendly solutions such as the leaner lifted-flame combustion strategy, which offers a reduction in soot and provides an alternative to low-temperature combustion, and others such as ethanol and biodiesel, which represent the first generation of biofuel technology. With the advancement in this technology, advanced biofuels are also manufactured from nonfood crops and algae as the main feedstock, thereby increasing the fuel potential and providing a diverse array of carbon sources. In this chapter we discuss the development of oxygenated biofuels through the intervention of plant biotechnology with futuristic mechanics that have integrated and upgraded the fuel potential and created a diverse refinery over natural resources for a sustainable future.
