摘要
Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) skin lesions reveal increased numbers of eosinophils and extracellular eosinophil granule proteins (EGPs), though the role of eosinophils in disease pathogenesis remains unknown. Eosinopenia is associated with higher urticaria activity, while serum eosinophil-derived neurotoxin (EDN) levels directly correlate with disease severity. Other EGPs have not been studied in relation to CSU activity; therefore, we sought to determine whether interval shifts in serum EGPs correlates with changes in CSU symptom severity.
