摘要
Increased TPSAB1 copy number encoding ⍺-tryptase is associated with severe reactions in adults with Hymenoptera venom allergy, systemic mastocytosis, and idiopathic anaphylaxis. Tryptase gene composition as a potential biomarker for food allergy severity has not been studied. We hypothesized that increased relative TPSAB1 copy number encoding ⍺-tryptase would be enriched in children with severe reactions to peanut.
