Well-oriented immobilized immunoaffinity magnetic beads for detection of fumonisins in grains and feeds via pre-column automatic derivatization of high-performance liquid chromatography

•The FBs capacity of well-oriented IMB was 1.5–1.8 times that of randomly fixed IMB.•A high-throughput automatic method for the purification of FBs was developed.•Pre-column automatic derivatization method of HPLC for FBs detection was developed.•This method is simple in operation, time-saving and high detection efficiency.•High temperature and high humidity are more favorable for FBs growth in China.
