摘要
Plants have sessile growing nature and suffer from various abiotic stresses during their growing cycles. There are complex responses of plants toward stresses and the major mechanisms involve changes in their metabolism, physiology, and morphology. Researchers and scientific communities are following numerous strategies to reduce the adverse consequences of abiotic stresses on growing plants for maximizing the yield potential. Nanotechnology has been proven as a versatile field for enhancing crop production and food security. The application of nanoparticles and nanomaterials of essential elements has been significantly helpful to get good quality and quantity from degraded soils and in the presence of various abiotic stresses. Therefore, this chapter is focused on discussing the role of nanotechnology to reduce the effects of abiotic stresses on wheat to improve growth, development, production, and quality.
