Lung Cancer Screening Among U.S. Military Veterans by Health Status and Race and Ethnicity, 2017–2020: A Cross-Sectional Population-Based Study

•Among veterans, poorer health is tied to the use of lung cancer screening.•One third of veterans screened for lung cancer would not meet the health requirements of a pivotal lung cancer screening trial.•Marked racial and ethnic disparities exist in lung cancer screening among veterans.•Non-White veterans are 67% less likely to be screened than White veterans.
