Abstract
To produce eco-friendly sodium ion batteries that meet the need for energy storage sources in regions with uneven conditions, the preparation of hard carbon anode materials from organic matter and biological waste is required. The raw material Paja canalera (PC) is introduced through Microwave Pyrolysis (MP) as the first candidate for anode material, evaluated through morphological and structural characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), x-ray spectroscopy (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy. Different precursors are also evaluated according to their biostructure, compatible for the intercalation of sodium ions. The evaluation of the different precursors focuses on the interest of understanding the sodium storage mechanism and the structure-function correlation, which allows sodiation, key for the design of functional anodes.
