Abstract
Designing a phosphor with two emitting centers is a practical strategy to get a material with good temperature sensor properties. In this work, we co-doped two luminescent centers Eu2+ and Mn2+ into the host to prepare a new material Na3Y(PO4)2:xEu2+,yMn2+, which can be used as a temperature sensor for the different temperature dependent luminescence of two centers. The Mn2+ luminescence decays much faster than Eu2+ luminescence, which originated from the better thermostability of Eu2+ luminescence. As a result, Na3Y(PO4)2:0.06Eu2+/ 0.03Mn2+ phosphor has maximum absolute and relative sensitivity at 450 K of 0.164 K-1 and 1.052% K-1. The above results show that Na3Y(PO4)2: Eu2+/Mn2+ phosphor has great application in the temperature sensor field.
