Abstract
This study presents a progressive collapse analysis of an RCC structure for blast and seismic loading. In structure due to the spread of local damage from element to element ultimately whole or proportionately larger structure gets collapsed in progressive collapse. Progressive collapse research is conducted on low-rise buildings for G+4 and high-rise buildings for G+22 to validate the Demand Capacity Ratio of a given structure, and its validation is performed in accordance with General services administration 2013 Guidelines. The response of an RCC-framed device to blast and seismic loads is investigated in this report. Standard framed buildings of G+4 and G+22 are modelled and analyzed using Staad proV8i SS5. The time history analysis research technique is used for progressive collapse analysis. Columns must be omitted to begin the gradual regression. For seismic time history analysis, El Centro data is used, and the time history load for blast analysis is measured using IS 4991. Natural frequency, storey drift, base shear, and vertical displacement are calculated before and after column removal, and the Demand capacity ratio (DCR) is evaluated. Columns are safe for low-rise buildings (DCR 1.5) and high-rise buildings (DCR 1.6), according to the DCR values collected (DCR 1.9).
