摘要

•All-polymer Faradaic deionization cell is reported for the first time.•High mass loading buckypaper electrodes based on CNT-reinforced PNDIE were prepared.•Symmetric coin cell test revealed a high electrochemical capacity (115 mAh g−1)•Rocking chair flow cell test showed high SAC, 155.4 mg/g and ASAR, 3.42 mg g−1 min−1.•FDI cell operated over 100 cycles (23 days) reached 100 % SAC retention.
