To be able to model physical processes, a concise material model is required. Within this chapter, the material model of the titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V is developed from literature as well as own experimental work. The modeled material properties include temperatures of phase transitions, density, specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity, absorption of laser radiation, Young’s modulus, yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, Poisson’s ratio, and the coefficient of thermal expansion. These are modeled for solid as well as powder material.
