Abstract
Various users in the same geographic area want high on-demand data speeds with minimal latency in a constrained bandwidth. Instead of assigning individual subcarriers to distinct users in terms of frequency and duration, mobile WiMAX (IEEE 802.16) assigns a group of them to different users to make resource allocation more realistic. In mobile WiMAX, there are numerous options for allocating sub channels. By optimizing bandwidth use and reducing rejection of ongoing calls and newly connected calls, the system retains a high degree of QoS support. It takes use of WiMAX’s adaptive nature by assigning a unique and suitable utility function to each connection. It also includes a quality of service architecture that ensures that both non-real time and real time applications receive high-quality service. The effective scheduling of network traffic is one of the most important contributions of a QoS system. This work examines a 2-level scheduling approach for Base Station schedulers used at uplink, in order to offer a service with a good quality to different traffic flows. The suggested approach assures that multimedia transmission is both efficient and fair. The effectiveness of the suggested 2-level scheduling method has been thoroughly examined over simulations and findings have efficiently proven the usefulness of the proposed algorithm.
