Abstract
TRACE data in the mobile communication network can be used in network analysis, optimization, and evaluation. Operators have invested considerable resources in TRACE data decoding. This paper proposes an elastic decoding system for TRACE data, and its main purpose is to parse the encoded binary code stream transmitted in the network into an understandable data structure that can be read by humans or provided to other automated systems for analysis. The decoding system can perform partial decoding according to actual needs, reducing the decoding delay and improving the efficiency of the calculation and storage resources of the decoder. When the actual demand changes, the decoding output can be changed by changing the configuration data, without adjusting main decoding system. This paper also presents an evaluation of the performance of the elastic decoding method.
