<p>Title: Landslides monitoring with UAS photogrammetry and Digital Image Correlation</p> <p>Hazard warning systems and risk reduction are often supported by monitoring systems.<br />Satellite solutions are vastly used with good results for low spatial resolution landslide<br />monitoring applications. However, for high spatial resolution investigations, other systems<br />and methods, such as photogrammetric surveys based on Unmanned Aerial System (UAS)<br />imagery, can be used with optimal results both in terms of spatial resolution and flexibility.<br />This work investigates the use of multi-temporal UAS surveys for landslide monitoring.<br />Digital Image Correlation (DIC) has been applied to orthomosaics generated from different<br />UAS photogrammetry surveys in order to compute a deformation map of the area. The<br />results, obtained by using a commercial software and an in-house DIC approach, compared<br />with a reference GNSS survey, show a deformation estimation accuracy of approximately<br />0.1 m, which is a reasonable accuracy for landslides moving at moderate velocity.</p>
