Abstract
Nowadays unmanned systems are employed in a variety of applications for their superiority in information acquisition under the circumstance unsuitable for humans. However, the payload, storage and energy are often restricted on these mobile platforms, which calls for a more compact and lighter system design. This paper is focused on the low-bit analog to digital convector (ADC) where the quantization noise resulting from the nonlinear effect is analyzed and a two-bit quantization scheme is proposed to suppress the quantization noise. Specifically, the quantization noise is discussed from the perspective of harmonics and the proposed method introduces a phase shift to the original signal to eliminate the generated harmonics. The numerical results showcase the superiority of the proposed method.
