Abstract
Rugby comprises numerous static and dynamic activities that can determine the outcome of a skilled action or injury. Understanding the biomechanics of these activities can therefore aid player performance and welfare. Considering kinetics and kinematics of motion this chapter provides an overview of the current scientific evidence relating to the biomechanics of different rugby activities, with the intention of making this information applicable for the practitioner who might then use this to inform training or competition.
