摘要
The COVID-19 virus is at present a global threat. The present study aims to show the role of statistics in context of Indian COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic. In this purpose, four different COVID-19 datasets are operated independently to investigate the effects of the disease during Waves I and II in India, using the essence of statistics. The impact of vaccination drives in India is also statistically examined using correlation co-efficient measure. A new expression is formulated to analyse the growth of herd immunity against COVID-19. The exploration on global COVID data reports that India is the second affected country in the world. Further, data analysis reports that India was badly affected during Wave II. However, consequence of vaccination drives in India shows psychological impact to accept vaccination to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. Analysis of correlation measures between new COVID cases and the total vaccination doses shows evidence in favour of herd immunity.
