Abstract
Cement-soil is a common method to strengthen soft soil foundation. In engineering construction, a certain amount of fiber is often added to improve its mechanical properties. In order to evaluate the fatigue damage mechanical properties of soil-cement materials under cyclic loading, basalt fiber and polypropylene fiber were added into soil-cement in this experiment to carry out material fatigue test under cyclic loading. The test results show that compared with plain soil-cement, the anti-fatigue ability of fiber soil-cement is significantly enhanced. Under the condition of the same fiber incorporation ratio, the anti-fatigue ability of basalt fiber to soil-cement is significantly improved than that of polypropylene fiber. Under the same load level, the higher the cement incorporation ratio is, the greater the strength is, and the more cycles of fatigue failure are. The log-linear relationship between the fatigue stress level and the fatigue life of soil-cement is obtained through the test, which can be used to calculate the fatigue failure times of different stress levels.
