Abstract
This article sets out to answer the following clinical questions: Clinical Question 1 and related: Should new fractures be prevented pharmacologically after (repairing) a low intensity hip fracture? Does this preventive treatment affect other outcomes? If so, which drug should be initiated and for how long should it be maintained? Clinical Question 2 and related: Does the early administration of preventive drug treatment (of new fractures) affect hip fracture healing in other outcomes? If not, when should be given the first dose? Methodology: To answer the clinical questions, a systematic review (SR but RS in the Spanish text and tables) of the available scientific literature was carried out, including the assessment of its quality in order to identify studies on the safety and clinical efficacy/effectiveness of anti-osteoporotic treatment in patients with low-intensity hip fracture.
