A novel scheme of data consistency in distributed controller deployment for SDON

Data consistency is an important research issue in the deployment of SDON distributed controller. The core of solving data consistency problem is distributed lock. At present, data consistency scheme based on ZooKeeper is the mainstream. In order to find a better solution, this paper implements the data consistency scheme of distributed controller based on Redis and ZooKeeper, and makes a comparative analysis. The results show that taking the time of acquiring the whole network topology and the single flow table as the performance evaluation index of the data consistency scheme, when acquiring the whole network topology, Redis is 25.0 % faster than ZooKeeper, and when acquiring the single flow table, Redis is 40.1 % faster than ZooKeeper.
