Research on Battery Monitoring System in Substation Based on Discharge Signal Measurement

Abstract
With the rapid development of the society, the capacity and voltage level of the substation in the power system are getting higher and higher. In the power system substation, the DC auxiliary power system (referred as DC APS for short in this paper) is the most important system for the power supply provided by various equipment in the substation, and the battery is a key link in the DC APS. For the reliable operation of the equipment in the station and the safety of the power grid, the reliability of the battery operation is particularly important. Based on the existing battery online monitoring methods and equipment, an online monitoring scheme for battery in the DC APS is proposed by using the simulated load to measure the battery discharge signal. A test platform was built in the laboratory to verify the command communication and online monitoring signal transmission of each part of the system, and to verify that the system can effectively and quickly judge the faulty battery.
