摘要
In the current era of Industry 4.0, it is important to know popular trends. A way to do so is to examine popular online talks like technology, entertainment and design (TED) Talks. Since their inception, TED Talks have been an ongoing source of wisdom, inspiration, and information. These talks often have more information than what the speaker explicitly shares. The most popular talks are not popular just by chance, but due to many factors that affect the minds of viewers. Exploring and understanding the popularity of these TED Talks may reveal important features for industries. Hence, in this paper, we present a data mining solution to explore what makes a TED Talk popular through data mining. Evaluation results show the practicality of our data mining solution in mining popular trends from big TED Talk data.
