Study on the Nonlinear Dielectric Properties of SiC/LDPE Composites under Different Electric Fields and Temperatures

The currents of silicon carbide (SiC)/Low-density Polyethylene (LDPE) samples are measured under different electric fields and temperatures to study the nonlinear conductivity and polarization of SiC/LDPE composites. The nonlinear coefficients, apparent hopping barrier energies of conductivity and active energies of relaxation polarization of SiC/LDPE composites are calculated according to the currents. The results show that the nonlinear coefficients of conductivity are affected by both electric field and temperature. And the electric filed also could influence the apparent hopping barrier energies of conductivity and active energies of relaxation polarization.
