Abstract
This paper proposes a prospective analysis of the barriers that inhibit decision-makers from adopting the Zero Energy Building idea. The fundamental reason for this study is the current shortage of energy resources and the damaging effects of nonrenewable energy, which generates a large amount of carbon dioxide. As a result, more countries have plans to convert traditional buildings to Zero Energy buildings. However, they have discovered that more obstacles prevent them from achieving this goal, such as the high initial cost of installing renewable energy systems compared to the overall cost of the building. As a result, many obstacles have been overcome for this philosophy to propagate.
