Co-pyrolysis of biomass and tires using commercial zeolite and biochar-based catalyst

•Co-pyrolysis of biomass and tires was carried out in a Quartz Wool Matrix reactor.•Design Expert software was used to optimize the process parameters.•Excellent de-oxygenation was shown by biochar-based catalyst during co-pyrolysis.•Synergistic effects were observed during the co-pyrolysis of biomass and tires.
