摘要
The climate crisis is a development problem – it questions the way societies define development and their right to development given the limited 'ecospace' that is to be divided between countries. Hence, this chapter asks: What is the relationship between climate change, sustainable development and planetary justice in the post Agenda 2030 world? Using the drivers-pressures-state-impact-response (DPSIR) framework, the chapter explores the relationship between climate change and development and climate change and justice and the ways in which this relationship has been addressed in the climate change regime and by Agenda 2030. It concludes that planetary justice requires addressing the injustices at the level of drivers, pressures, state, impact and responses, and that this is not only a normative or even legal requirement but also a a prerequisite for living within planetary boundaries.
