A, Strong staining was observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cells, which acted as the positive control of EphA4 staining. B and C, Absent EphA4 immunostaining in normal human skin (B, Ã-400) and acquired intradermal melanocytic nevus (C, Ã-200). D, Strong immunoreactivity was found in the radial growth phase of primary cutaneous melanoma and the immunointensity was decreased in the vertical growth tumor parts in the dermis. E, Bar graph summary of the grading of EphA4 immunoreactivity in 28 pairs of primary cutaneous melanoma and metastatic tumors from the same patient. The result is similar to the total recruited cases as shown in Fig. 7E.
