Research on Electric Pulse De-icing Technology

Icing will seriously affect the safe operation of equipment, cause serious accidents and cause huge economic losses. Traditional de-icing technologies, such as manual and thermal de-icing technology, have limitations of high cost and low efficiency, which make it difficult to fundamentally solve the problem of equipment icing. Electric pulse de-icing technology has been studied and applied in many fields because of its low energy consumption, high efficiency, easy operation, easy maintenance and other advantages. This technology is expected to solve the above icing problem, so it has broad development prospects. This paper first expounds the principle of electric pulse de-icing technology, then introduces and analyzes the application effect of this technology in the fields of transmission lines, overhead ground wires, wind turbine blades, aircraft wings, contact rails of maglev train and so on, and finally makes a prospect for the follow-up development direction of electric pulse de-icing technology.
