Figure S5. Loss of Erbin deletion promotes tumorigenesis and the expression of genes associated with cancer stem cells. (A) Histology analysis of intestine adenomas in age-matched Apc/WT and Apc/Het mice (at 4.5 months) as well as Apc/WT mice at 6 months. Scale bar, 200μm. Note that the tumor burden in the Apc/Het mouse at 4.5 month is similar as that Apc/WT mice at 6 month. (B) Tumor organoids derived from three cohorts of mice (Apc/WT, Apc/Het and Apc/KO) were grown in 3D culture for 72 hours, collected, and analyzed using qRT-PCR for the expression of genes associated with cancer stem cells (Lgr5 and Axin2), cell proliferation (Ccnd1, Ki67) and intestinal cell differentiation (Fabp2). Data represents mean {plus minus} SEM (n = 4, * p<0.05 and # p<0.0001).
