High Availability Design of Avionics System Architecture Based on K3s

Abstract
Based on the requirements of rapid iteration, scalability and high availability of the avionics system, this paper designs and implements a high availability service management system by using service-oriented architecture (SOA), container and K3s technology. The high availability service management system is composed of service registry cluster and airborne service cluster. First, build the service registry cluster based on the single registry architecture to avoid single point of failure and deploy the leader election and data synchronization algorithm in the cluster to maintain data consistency. Then the fault-tolerant interface of airborne service cluster is constructed with a variety of fault-tolerant methods to meet requirements of different service invocation failure scenarios. Finally, the container lightweight virtualization technology and K3s cluster management and replica number maintenance mechanism are used to deploy the service management system with high availability. Tests show that the service management system can provide uninterrupted services to maintain system availability in the case of hardware and software failure.
