Energy Storage Configuration and Operation Control Strategy in High Ratio Wind Power System

With the dual carbon target, the penetration of renewable energy in the power system is gradually increasing. Due to the strong stochastic fluctuation of renewable energy generation, energy storage is considered as an important method to maintain the balance of power supply and demand in the power system. First, the cost of power supply is modeled by grid operation stability considering energy storage, wind power. The loss of load and the abandoned wind power are involved in improving the wind power consumption rate as penalty terms. Next, the energy storage capacity configuration in long-time scale is combined with the energy storage charging and discharging strategy in short-time scale. Then, the two-stage optimization algorithm is used to find the energy storage configuration scheme and dispatching strategy including charging and discharging control of energy storages to cooperate with the wind power. Finally, the results show that the reasonable configuration of energy storage can improve the reliability and economy of the system including wind power.
