Abstract
In this paper, a dual-polarized crisscross-shaped antenna with enhanced front-to-back ration for base stations is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of printed crisscross-shaped dipole, L-shaped feeding structure, a pair of cross baluns, and a bent shaped reflector. By bending the two sides of the flat reflector and periodically grooving, the induced current on the reflector is reduced and then the back radiation of the antenna is effectively reduced, thus improving the front-to-back ratio. By using this method, the front-to-back ratio of the proposed antenna increased by about 6dBi compared with the flat panel reflector. At the same time, the antenna has a wide impedance bandwidth, the working frequency range is from 0.67 to 1.01GHz with S11<-10 dB, and also has a high degree of isolation in the working frequency band. In addition, it has higher gain and brilliant radiation characteristics.
