Preview A paradigm for atom-economical CO2-to-dimethyl carbonate by frustrated Lewis pairs

In a recent issue of Angewandte Chemie, Xie and co-workers re-ported surface vacancy-cluster-mediated frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs), enabling 100% atom-economical CO2 conversion to dimethyl carbonate (DMC) with a yield up to 15.3 mmol g(-1). This break-through work provides a promising strategy for efficient CO2 con-version.
