Preparation of ZnO-PPy-CNTs ternary composites and visible light degradation of rhodamine B

Abstract
In this paper, ZnO/PPy/CNTs composite samples were successfully prepared by hydrothermal method. And characterized by XRD, TEM, SEM, it proved that the complex has characteristic peaks of individual substances. Under 240 min of light, the optimal doping amount of carbon nanotubes is 1%. Under the visible light (lambda > 550 nm), the degradation rate of rhodamine B (RhB) can reach 92.4%. The main active species of ZPC catalytic system is center dot O2-, there is a good linear relationship between the sample ln (C-0/C-t) and the photocatalytic reaction time t. And we speculated the possible mechanism of photocatalytic degradation of RhB in ZPC composite samples under visible light.
