Formulation of Fault Characteristics Based on Model Reduction in High Penetration Electronics System

In the power grid, with the extensive applications of power electronic equipment, the dimension and complexity of the power system model are greatly increased. Compared with the traditional power grid, the number of components in the high proportion electronic power grid system is large and the interactions between them are complex. In case of fault, it is necessary to comprehensively consider state variables. To solve the above problems, a fault feature extraction method based on balanced truncation model reduction algorithm is proposed, and the feasibility of the fault feature extraction is verified by time-domain simulation in a photovoltaic grid connected system model. This method aims to recombine the original variables into a group of new independent comprehensive variables, and then take out a few comprehensive variables according to the actual needs to reflect the fault information in the original system as much as possible.
