Chemical Constituents of the Fruits of Cordia dichotoma

Objective:To study the chemical constituents from the fruits of Cordia dichotoma.Methods:The ethyl acetate part of Cordia dichotoma fruits was isolated and purified by normal silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 gel column chromatography,semi-preparative HPLC and other separation methods,the structures were identified by modern spectroscopy（UV,IR,MS,NMR）.Results:Sixteen compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate part of Cordia dichotoma fruits and identified as p-hydroxybenzaldehyde（1）,pandanusphenol B（2）,latifolicinin C（3）,lyciumin（4）,latifolicinin B（5）,threo-1,2-bis-（4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl）-propane-1,3-diol（6）,salicofoliol（7）,zhebeiresinol（8）,evofolin B（9）,isoferulic acid（10）,85-（-）-8-（4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzoyl）-dihydrofuran-8（8’H）-one（11）,salicylic acid（12）,3-formylindole（13）,3-hydroxylacetyl-indole（14）,1 H-indole-3-carboxylic acid（15）,（1 H-indol-3-yl）oxoacetamide（16）,respectively.Conclusion:Among them,compounds 1,2,4,6 to 16 are isolated from Cordia genus for the first time,compounds 3 and 5 are isolated from Cordia dichotoma for the first time.
