摘要
Direct Field oriented control is frequently used to control various types of machines, including doubly fed induction machines. Vector control is deployed in a DFIG wind turbine to adjust the stator’s active and reactive power. A feedback control loop based on a conventional proportional-integral controller (C- PI) may provide a good dynamic response. The C-PI parameters rely mostly on DFIG parameters, which are highly sensitive to variations and disturbances and profoundly influence the grid’s power quality. This paper studies the vector control approach based on real time simulation of sliding mode controller applied to a DFIG-based wind turbine to compare the robustness, reliability, and effectiveness of this type of controller to conventional PI. The simulation was performed using MATLAB Simulink and RT-LAB OP 5600 tool under ordinary circumstances and parameter variation, and the results confirmed the SMC’s robustness.
