Transplantation Referral Patterns for Patients with Newly Diagnosed Higher-Risk Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Acute Myeloid Leukemia at Academic and Community Sites in the Connect® Myeloid Disease Registry: Potential Barriers to Care

•Patients with higher-risk myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia at community sites are less likely than those at academic centers to be considered for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HCT).•Patients were considered ineligible for HCT owing to age or comorbidities.•Almost 20% of patients in this study were not assessed for transplantation eligibility.
