Effectiveness of deep brain stimulation in refractory and drug-resistant aggressiveness in autism spectrum disorder

•Our study follow-up of 5 teenagers with severe ASD with low functionality and were resistant to pharmacological.•We analyzing the effectiveness of deep brain stimulation (DBS) in reducing uncontrolled aggression.•DBS is effective in the management of refractory aggression in severe ASD; allowing a better social inclusion and adaptation to family life.
