Survival of Elderly Patients Undergoing Pancreatoduodenectomy in an Integrated Health System.

Although the difference in overall survival between patients aged less than and more than 75 years was significant, age was not an independent risk factor for overall survival on multivariable analysis. Rather than a patient's chronological age, his/her physiologic age including medical comorbidities and functional status may be more correlated to overall survival.
