A novel handy polymerized copper porphyrin sensor detects bases simultaneously

•A simple method was designed to synthesize polymeric metalloporphyrin as a specific electrode material.•The introduction of copper effectively improves the biocompatibility, electrical conductivity and electrocatalytic performance of the material.•For the first time, poly(Cu-TCPP) was used to demonstrate the synergistic catalysis of large π bond structures and transition metals.•The four bases can be detected separately and simultaneously.
