Abstract
In modern electronic system design, it is challenging to achieve miniaturization and low-crosstalk in microstrip line and coplanar waveguide. In addition, when the operating frequency rises to the terahertz band, the performance of the traditional transmission lines will deteriorate further due to the inherent field mode, which is limited by the dielectric substrate. Recent demonstrations of Spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) excited by periodic metallic holes or grooves with inherent strong field confinement have attracted much attention for their potential in developing terahertz system transport. In this paper, we introduced different device designs for Spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) and demonstrated a high-efficiency excitation method through rectangular waveguide.
