Abstract
Ninety seven Late Antique pottery shards excavated at Histria, Romania (4th −7th c. AD) were investigated using PIXE (Particle Induced X-ray Emission) and Optical Microscopy (OM). This study aimed to offer answers on raw materials and technological choices and to provide additional insights on the provenance of these artefacts, broadening our knowledge on fine red slip ware from this period.
