Abstract
•A water-immersion supercritical metalens with a large numerical aperture and suppressed sidebands.•The water-immersion supercritical metalens can form a spot size of 0.33λ at a distance of 60λ from the lens and sidelobe ratio of 0.13.•The water-immersion metalens could avoid contamination from the immersion medium.•Great potential in label-free far-field super-resolution microscopy.
