摘要
Reduced willingness to engage in effort is a hallmark of anhedonia. Quantifying willingness to expend effort is critical in determining underlying neural mechanisms and developing targeted therapeutics, but cross-species neural biomarkers are lacking. We used a reverse-translated cognitive effort task (CET) during electroencephalographic (EEG) recording to: (1) identify neurophysiological correlates of effortful decision-making; and (2) compare biomarkers across participants who prefer easy versus hard trials.
