271. Can Amphetamine Augment Gains From Targeted Cognitive Training (TCT) in Antipsychotic-Medicated Schizophrenia Patients? Preliminary Target Engagement, Safety and Efficacy Results

In antipsychotic-medicated schizophrenia patients (AMSPs), the pro-attentional drug, amphetamine, increased learning of an auditory frequency discrimination task that is a therapeutic module of TCT. We hypothesize that enhanced TCT learning will mediate greater clinical and functional gains from TCT. We now report target engagement and early safety / efficacy results using amphetamine (5 mg) 1-h prior to TCT to enhance the therapeutic response in AMSPs.
