摘要

Social cognition may be altered during pregnancy and postpartum which may impact the mother’s ability to interpret the infant’s mental state and affect maternal caregiving. Limited research compares social cognitive performance in pregnancy versus non-pregnancy and details these changes from pregnancy to postpartum. We aim to bridge this gap in the literature by assessing social cognition using validated theory of mind tasks.
